What Is PV Module Manufacturing Inspection?
PV module manufacturing inspection is an independent control and surveillance activity to verify that photovoltaic module production processes comply with quality standards, project specifications and relevant international requirements.

Scope of Inspection
1) Raw Material & Component Verification
Compliance of components such as cells, glass, EVA, backsheet, ribbon and junction box with the technical specification and the approved BOM list is verified.
2) Production Process Monitoring
Stringing, lamination, trimming, framing and junction box assembly steps are checked and evaluated for process discipline and workmanship quality.
3) Traceability & MES Record Checks
Serial numbers, lot/batch information and production records are verified to ensure module-level traceability.
4) Electrical Test Verification
Flash test results, I-V curve measurements, power tolerance checks and binning/classification outcomes are reviewed.
5) EL (Electroluminescence) Assessment
Microcracks, broken cells, soldering defects and potential PID-related risks are assessed based on EL images.
6) Mechanical & Visual Inspections
Frame assembly quality, glass surface condition, backsheet integrity and overall workmanship criteria are evaluated.
7) Pre-Shipment Quality Control
Packaging, pallet arrangement, corner protector application and transport safety are verified to reduce shipment-related risks.
